I-machinarius es una máquina simbólicamente herida, que articula cuestionamientos sobre la soberanía nacional y la dependencia energética en el contexto global. Esta máquina es un caudal de energía, que depende de la extracción y del desperdicio. Su desbordamiento, es una alegoría no de un pensamiento abstracto del país, sino de una sociedad perturbada por una arraigada idea de incapacidad, fracaso e inseguridad.

I-machinarius es una máquina industrial con un sistema de lubricación que controla el flujo de petróleo crudo. Dicho flujo es continuo y la máquina lentamente termina por desbordarse.

La obra ha sido exhibida en el Laboratorio de Arte Alameda de la Ciudad de México como parte de un taller de arte sobre recursos energéticos relacionados con las últimas reformas legislativas a la política nacional. Asimismo, la pieza fue exhibida en la Universidad de Texas en medio de la celebración del bicentenario del movimiento independentista en México.

I-machinarius is an overflowing machine, symbolically injured, which articulates a question about sovereignty and energy dependence in the global context. The meaning of this machine arises from the idea that defines it as a conduit for intensifying energy flow, involving the extraction and waste of resources. Its functionality is a stark contrast with the field of the social imaginary, seriously disrupted by the entrenched idea of insecurity, incapacity, and failure.

I-machinarius is an industrial machine with a lubrication system that controls the flow of crude oil. This flow is continuous and the machine slowly ends up overflowing.

The work has been shown at the Laboratorio de Arte Alameda in Mexico City as part of an art workshop about energy resources related to the last law reforms to national politics. Also, the piece was shown at the University of Texas in the middle of the bicentennial celebration of the Independence movement in Mexico.
